Night of the Living Sled
Night of the Living Sled and Hotel of the Living Sled refers to a serie of piano pieces played by Chris Hendricks and put together by unknown team members of the Club Penguin team. The pieces resemble old movie piano tracks that were played live on the age of silent film, being designed for the Night of the Living Sled movies.
Creation[edit]
The pieces were all played and improvised by Chris Hendricks, while Chris Gliddon and someone else spectated.[1]. All the music was made in one day, being played live by Hendricks in a church with a slightly out of tune piano, completely done on the spot. A device with the movies was setup, which Hendricks used to watch and play along. The audio was recorded with a microphone, which was likely recording in mono. For all the different parts, Hendricks played three different versions. Finally, the tracks were worked out together to create the "Night of the Living Sled" music for the web game. Years later, the team would take other leftover work to use for the "Hotel of the Living Sled" Halloween video, which was orchestrated by Norrie Henderson[2].
Uses[edit]
The complete recording of the Night of the Living Sled has not been made public, so cataloguing the pieces exactly is not possible. For the following purpose, "movie cuts" will be used to refer to the ones that where used by the team for the web version, and "leftover cuts" will refer to anything that was not used in the movies.
